Lee Lee’s Life Lessons, the birthplace of the Let Us Play™ Series

Lee Lee’s Life Lessons

Supporting connection, joy, and wellbeing during and beyond cancer.

Lee Lee’s Life Lessons is a nonprofit organisation founded from lived experience and a belief that support beyond diagnosis matters.

Through survivorship programmes, retreats, workshops, and community initiatives, we create opportunities for individuals navigating life during and beyond cancer to reconnect with themselves, others, and the possibility of joy after adversity.

Because healing is not only about treatment or survival.

It is also about identity, meaning, connection, and learning how to live fully again.

Our Mission

Lee Lee’s Life Lessons exists to increase access to compassionate, person-centred experiences for individuals affected by cancer.

Our work is rooted in survivorship, community, positive psychology, and the understanding that wellbeing extends beyond physical recovery alone.

We believe support should continue after diagnosis, after treatment, and throughout the evolving experience of survivorship.

Let Us Play™

Thriving With & Beyond Cancer

Let Us Play™ was developed to support individuals navigating life during and beyond cancer through reflection, creativity, community, and joy-centred experiences.

What began through founder Lisa Caughman’s own experience with cancer has grown into programmes designed to help participants reconnect with resilience, curiosity, meaning, and possibility.

Experiences may include:

✦ Survivorship programmes
✦ Community workshops
✦ Retreats & healing experiences
✦ Reflection circles
✦ Educational events

Because surviving and thriving are not always the same thing.

Why This Work Matters

Cancer often changes more than a body.

Many individuals describe changes in identity, confidence, relationships, purpose, and the ability to recognise themselves beyond diagnosis.

Support for these experiences can be difficult to find.

Lee Lee’s Life Lessons was created from a simple belief:

No one should have to navigate life during or beyond cancer feeling unsupported or alone.

Meet Our Founder and Board of Directors

Lisa Caughman, MSc, HHP, CAPP, is a stage IV cancer survivor, positive psychology practitioner, ordained interfaith minister, and founder of Lee Lee’s Life Lessons.

Her own experiences navigating cancer inspired a mission centred around connection, wellbeing, and creating supportive spaces where others can rediscover joy and meaning beyond diagnosis.
