Scholar’s Statement

As a lunch lady, an interfaith minister, positive psychology practitioner, and cancer survivor, I approach scholarship as a bridge between lived experience, integrative healing, and academic inquiry. My work explores the transformative power of structured play, metaphysical frameworks, and joy-based recovery, particularly for those navigating life after trauma or cancer.

Through my initiative, Let Us Play – Thriving With and Beyond Cancer™, I integrate principles of positive psychology, metaphysical science, and survivor wisdom to create programs, retreats, and educational resources that foster healing, resilience, and purpose. I am advancing this work through graduate studies in metaphysics, where my research focuses on play as a spiritual and psychological modality for well-being.

I view scholarship not only as the pursuit of knowledge but also as a call to contribute meaningfully to the healing of individuals and communities. My aim is to illuminate paths of joy and transformation that are accessible, inclusive, and rooted in both evidence and compassion.
