Let Us Play! Retreat-Gratitude Beyond Words!
At Smokey Shadows Lodge, “there’s no better place to be” - Peter Mayer
This weekend at Smokey Shadows Lodge was nothing short of extraordinary. Women of all ages, backgrounds, and cancer journeys came together—and in just two days, we became family. Connected through survivorship, love, and reflection, we shared our stories, our laughter, and our strength.
My heart is overflowing with gratitude:
✨ To Tracy and Amy for the incredible food and warm hospitality that nourished body and soul. To Allie, Becky, DeWayne, and Shawna for their assistance as well.
✨ To Friends of Peter Mayer, and Lee Lees Life Lessons for the generous donations that made this retreat a reality.
✨ To Sara Lewis for guiding us with such grace through yoga sessions that invited peace and presence.
✨ And most importantly, to the survivors themselves—for the gifts you shared. The gift of you. Your courage, compassion, and connection are the true heartbeat of this work. Together, in the beauty of the mountains at Smokey Shadows Lodge, we created a space where healing, joy, and love could flourish. I am deeply humbled and forever grateful.
We took very few pictures, and we spent a lot of time talking about the weather. You know the saying, “What happens at a Let Us Play - Thriving With and Beyond Cancer Retreat stays at the retreat”. - Heart and Hugs to all, Lisa. 💜
