Judy Phillips
Judy Phillips brings over 25 years of compassionate oncology experience to the board of Lee Lee’s Life Lessons. As a nurse practitioner at Messino Cancer Centers, Judy has walked alongside hundreds of patients through their most vulnerable moments, including our founder, Lisa Caughman Payne. Her deep clinical expertise and unwavering empathy make her a guiding light in our mission to support survivors and thrivers.
Judy holds a Doctorate in Nursing Practice from Johns Hopkins University, where she also earned certificates in Global Health and Teaching. She received her MSN from the Medical University of South Carolina, her BSN from Florida Atlantic University, and graduated with honors from Georgia Baptist School of Nursing in 1984. She is certified in Advanced Oncology and Critical Care and served as an Assistant Professor of Nursing for over 12 years, shaping the next generation of caregivers.
In addition to her clinical and academic accomplishments, Judy serves on the Board of the Givens Estate and is an active member of First Baptist Church of Hendersonville. A gifted musician, she plays cello in three orchestras and finds joy in watercolor painting.
Married to her beloved David for 42 years, Judy is the proud mother of two married daughters and the joyful grandmother of seven. She also adores her three spirited Brittany Spaniels, who keep life lively and full of love.
Judy’s presence on our board brings a wealth of experience, compassion, and grace. We are deeply honored to walk this journey with her.
