Shelby Caughman

Shelby Caughman, based in Stirling, Scotland, is a systems thinker and heart-led creative with a Master’s degree in Ecology from the University of Bremen in Germany. She brings a holistic, compassionate, and solution-focused perspective to the Lee Lee’s Life Lessons Board of Directors—rooted in her background in ecological research, lived experience navigating disability and neurodivergence, and her commitment to community-centered care.

For Shelby, the mission of Lee Lee’s Life Lessons is deeply personal. As the daughter of the organization’s founder, she has witnessed firsthand the power of spiritual resilience in the face of life-altering illness. Her mother’s cancer journey—and her transformation of that experience into healing for others—continues to inspire and inform Shelby’s work.

She contributes to the board through her strengths in creative problem-solving, digital strategy, and intuitive support, helping shape both the structural foundations and soulful direction of the organization. Shelby is passionate about creating spaces where grief, hope, healing, and identity can co-exist and ensuring that those most often left out of traditional care systems are met with warmth, tools, and radical dignity.

Shelby is the Mom to Thor and Maple, her fur babies, and Alpi, Cueva, and Squeakers, her feline babies.
